1. The Service

ShrinkGIF is a free, browser-based tool that compresses animated GIF files. All processing is performed locally in your browser. We do not receive, store or have access to the files you process.

2. Use of the Service

You may use the Service for personal and commercial purposes free of charge. You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
• use automated means to abuse the Service (for example, excessive scraping or denial-of-service activity);
• upload or process content that you do not have the right to use.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the files you process. Because the Service runs entirely in your browser, we never obtain any rights to, or copies of, your content. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to use and modify any file.

4. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, quality of compression, or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free or that compressed output will meet any particular requirement.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShrinkGIF and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, revenue or profits, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Because we never receive your files, you are responsible for keeping your own backups.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its name, design, text and code, is owned by ShrinkGIF or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding without permission.

7. Third-party content, links and advertising

The Service may display advertising and may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of third parties. Your dealings with advertisers or third-party sites are solely between you and them. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are handled.

8. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service (or any feature) at any time, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date will reflect any change. Your continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence.
